The pageant is a celebration of beauty, style, accomplishments and cultural appreciation, emphasizing the opportunity for personal development while serving the community. Shanice M. Reed has been the director of the organization since 2011, after winning the title and representing the City of Compton during her reign.

This year’s event is hosted by Councilperson Emma Sharif of District 4, endorsed by the City of Compton. The Miss Compton Pageant strives to continue to shine a positive light on the City of Compton and inner-city communities.
