THE AWARD-WINNING 9TH ANNUAL TOUR DE PIER ANNOUNCES ITS CELEBRITY LINEUP TO INCLUDE “COBRA KAI” STAR


Today, the 9th Annual Tour de Pier announced its celebrity lineup for the award-winning outdoor stationary cy fundraiser. “Cobra Kai” star Jacob Bertrand will be among sports celebrities pedaling for a cancer cure at one of Southern California’s unique fitness fundraisers that benefits three cancer charities: The Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research; the Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach and the Uncle Kory Foundation for Brain Cancer Research.


The event will be held at Manhattan Beach Pier & Strand, on Sunday, September 12th from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Register here.

The 9th Annual Tour de Pier is a unique fundraising event that brings one of the hottest indoor fitness activities – stationary cycling – to the gorgeous outdoors of Manhattan Beach. Ride in place with an ocean view!


Stationary bikes on The Strand overlooking the Manhattan Beach Pier. You can register for a five hour session and can either share the bike with team members or ride individually. The South Bay’s best instructors and celebrity guests will spin you through a session with energizing music and loads of excitement and energy.


In addition to the cycling portion of the Tour de Pier, our event includes a free Health & Fitness Expo, with ongoing music and entertainment, sampling of healthy food and beverages, as well as interactive health & fitness booths. Little ones can enjoy our Cardio Kids Zone with tot-sized stationary bikes, games, moon bounces and more.


Celebrities in attendance include Jacob Bertrand (actor, “Cobra Kai”); Mia Hamm (former USWNT Soccer Player and owner of Angel City FC); Alexi Lalas (Fox Sports Commentator and U.S. Soccer Legend); Dustin Brown (L.A. Kings); Cobi Jones (former player, LA Galaxy and Sports Commentator); Rob Stone (emcee and Fox Sports Commentator); John Thorrington (Co-President, LA Football Club); Jake Olson (former USC Football Player and cancer survivor) and Adam Krikorian (Head Coach of US Women’s Gold Medalists Water Polo team)


Since 2013, Tour de Pier has raised more than $7.9 million for cancer charities. Tour de Pier is organized to raise funds for the following cancer charities: The Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research (pancreatic.org), The Uncle Kory Foundation (unclekory.org) and Cancer Support Community(cancersupportredondobeach.org).
